The Truth Behind Lacson's Retreat: Top Secret Deals of Two Presidentiables
However to survive a highly controversial criminal case, Senator Lacson deemed it necessary to forge a secret deal with one of the most prominent presidentiables for the 2010 national elections – Senator Mar Roxas. Being a member of a family known for its vast financial resources, Ping saw that a future “President Mar Roxas” is the only remaining ticket out of his current criminal debacle. A highly reliable source has revealed that the two senators deliberately colluded against Senator Manny Villar in exploiting to the hilt the C5 road controversy, a move that not only succeeded in making Mar Roxas’ surge in survey ranks but has also tarnished to a certain extent Villar’s well-kept uncorrupt image among the people. Have you not wondered why it was Lacson who first cried foul over the extension project but yet he is now allowing Senator Jamby Madrigal to have a field day of her own in the senate investigation? It was his pet exposé and being the good politician that he is, wouldn’t it have been more natural for him to want the limelight and the benefits of his “hard work” for himself? Why share the benefits?
This was all pre-planned. He will open the can of worms on Villar and he will let the other senators – except the Cayetano siblings and Nene Pimentel – to do all the nailing on the cross, thus providing him a fool-proof escape plan from being tagged as a black propagandist. In this manner, Roxas too would be given a chance to propagate his anti-corruption stance, something that would earn him extra “pogi” points among the masses.
Senator Ping Lacson only wants one thing. He no longer cares about the presidency nor even the vice presidency. All he wants is to survive the criminal charges that are now hounding his very own persona. And, this is the very reason why he is investing all that he has to have a future President Mar Roxas after the 2010 elections. He is willing to forego his own political dream and use his well-placed network to work for Mar’s victory. He is willing to “help” another presidentiable like Mr Palengke so that in future he can tap this “utang na loob” and ask for a reward in exchange for his dropout move in the presidential race and his secret efforts to serve Malacañang to Mar on a silver platter.

Child's Play on Dacer - Corbito Murder Wrap: Lacson on Silent Struggle to Win Via Cheating Arrangement
Can you just imagine how the good senator turned tables for his benefit?
Other than this by-out with the Dumlaos, Lacson previously divulged supposed conversation with Mancao last January of 2007, where the senator is insinuating that Mancao promised him loyalty then and that he could only be forced now in exchange of so-called re-instatement package. The brief sms message was one way or another successful in putting malicious skepticism to the disclosed affidavit. Lacson made it sure that the people doubt Mancao’s intent to include establishing his claimed Malacañang power play.
But he can’t fool Juan dela Cruz with such “charm”, can’t he?
A look back with the Dacer-Corbito case one could outlay the importance of both Dumlao and Mancao continually sticking to their sworn statements. And ofcourse, one could also see the “importance” of Lacson sabotaging it to protect not only his reputation but his 2010 presidential candidacy.
Mancao was Lacson’s former aide and head of PAOC-TF Luzon Task Group. He was under Michael Ray Aquino who was then the PAOC’s Chief of Operations. Meantime, under Mancao was Glenn Dumlao, his Luzon-TG Opns Chief. Initial inquest of the Dacer-Corbito case in 2000 involved the outright identification of Dumlao by now detained SP04 Mariano Soberano, SP03s Jose Escalante and Mauro Torres together with PO2 Thomas Sarmiento. All these detainees admitted guilty to the murder slay. All four particularly Torres actuated the killing of Dacer and Corbito together with two other PAOC-TF civilian informants tagged Digo de Pedro (still at large) and suspect turned state witness-Alex Digoy.
In rationale, initial investigations had already nipped the heads of abovementioned subordinates who unfortunately lived-up to the orders from the higher ups. At this point, loose ends in the trial and verdict of said case lies greatly on the so-called 3-kings of PAOC-TF (Aquino, Mancao and Dumlao). This 3-kings is where the controversial order to kill Dacer had in fact originated. And with Mancao’s affidavit, strong evidence is on hand to incriminate both Lacson and deposed President Joseph Estrada to the case. Dumlao who is also facing extradition in the US is at this time the only one who could corroborate the said affidavit. His presence in the trial together with Mancao is formidable substance for the prosecution.
Other than the secret meetings with Dumlaos family in Isabela, the flight of Lacson’s finance officer in the US jives well with the $100,000 extradition bail bond guaranteed for Glenn. The bail actuality made it possible for Glenn to stay a lot longer in the US. Thus, it is a possibility that Lacson at this early stage could be buying Glenn’s recantations through his wife. Besides, it had been rumored before that Lacson actually financed Dumlaos flight to the US last 2005 in the first place. He definitely could have drawn-out the cash on this one. Let us not forget it would be worth Lacson’s career.
Lacson knows well enough that only through Dumlao withdrawing his previous testimony can the Dacer-Corbito case turn positively for his sake.
Lacson needs Dumlao to Recant
The Mancao affidavit is enough to substantiate 2005 Glenn Dumlao’s testimony involving the PAOC-TF in the murder of Erap Estrada publicist- Bubby Dacer. It seemed Lacson forgot to rehearse Mancao on this one, but will that mean letting Dumlao off easily? Will Lacson gamble his career for another “lip-service” from Dumlao that involves an alibi that could bail him out of the case?
Not likely. Coincidental as claimed by Lacson, the visits in Isabela particularly the meetings with the Juliet Dumlao (wife of Glenn Dumlao) and the anonymously sourced $100,000 extradition bail bond are obviously two incidents with intents one and the same.
And, that is to court Glenn to recant his 2005 testimony and weaken the affidavit of Mancao in exchange for a longer stay in the US. This means a “stay” good enough to evade trial and prosecution here in the country where Dumlao was by far branded as prime suspect.
The paid bail is entirely the reason why Dumlao is still in the US; still on absentee status despite the progress of the case in the country. It is quite obvious that Dumlao with the help of a so-called generous donor are buying-out time delaying the proceedings altogether and paving way for certain Atty Alex Ovisado to establish claim that the remains in Indang Cavite were not of Dacer and Corbito. As such, the absence of the victims’ bodies literally scraps the criminal charges wherein Dumlao walks away a free man along with Lacson and Erap who were dragged on the case. A perfect cover-up good enough for ambitious solons ofcourse.
Won’t Mrs. Dumlao support the idea? Won’t she choose Dumlao getting freed than having him locked behind a steal door?
The Bombo Radyo interview of Juliet was by far the stupidest remark people heard with regard to the Dacer-Corbito case. She claimed that she misses her husband and wants him home but had she forgotten that the moment Glenn stepped-out of the plane he’d be going straight to Manila city jail and not exactly on her lap? Is she really that desperate to see Glenn that he’d sold him out?
The possibility of the Dumlaos conniving with one of Mancao’s 21-list of Dacer suspects is not entirely illogical. Besides, the government could not guarantee Glenn a state witness status on the case. He is among the long list of suspects with their necks hanging on the line.
And ofcourse, needless to say, influential honchos such as Lacson and Erap were included on the line-up. Both have everything to lose; 2010 candidacy, people’s confidence and on top of it their protected names. Like Dumlao, they fear imprisonment and most especially public disgust. All three allying would inevitably mean riddling recantations and ofcourse skepticism towards the now controversial affidavit. That way, as much as it would be ironic, the trio (Lacson, Erap and Glenn) could all go free. That is worth the $100,000 cash bond and ofcourse millions of protection and sell-out money.

SILENCING LACSON: What it takes to Bury Dacer and Corbito for Good
By 2000, Estrada and Lacson were on a head-to-toe battle against crime with the PAOC-TF (Philippine Anti-Organize Crime - Task Force). The former was the typical “butcher” the “thugs” type while the other added as the iron hand that would do orders as told. Quite a perfect match in the first place. Not until publicist Bubby Dacer went missing then found dead and charred with driver Corbito in Cavite. Not until almost half of the PAOC-TF were on the long list of suspects that the actuated the almost decade- long double-murder slay.
As speculated before, Dacer was silenced for two reasons. First, it was for his allegiance with former-president Fidel V. Ramos who happens to be plotting the Erap regime by then. The salient “know-hows” of Dacer in the dealings of Erap as supposed to the deposed head’s “plundering” and “laundering” scheme was the fatal blow that had actually drove the “authorities” to keep him buried for good. Second, aside from the Ramos conspired treachery, Dacer was rumoured to be withholding incriminating statements and evidences against the Estrada administration to which he was opted to divulge in exchange of a far tempting chunk of bargain. Besides, the Opposition bloc by the time, who was ofcourse joined with Cory Aquino, former-Speaker Jose De Venecia and Gloria Arroyo was dying to have Dacer backing-up the plunder cases charged in the KAMARA. At that point, Dacer was indentified communicating with Ilocos Sur Governor Luis “Chavit” Singson and is negotiating a safer exit out of Erap’s wagon.
The killed PR-man was undeniably the Estrada’s Achilles Heel, while Emanuel Corbito happens to be serving the “wrong man” at just the wrong time.
Five months after the discovery of the Dacer and Corbito remains, Jimmy Lopez and Alex Diloy started spilling the beans of the supposed orchestrated murder-wrap by “trigger-men” within the PAOC-TF. The two who were identified as informants of the PAOC-TF pleaded guilty of having been part of t murder that later implicated four other police officers who then tagged ex-Senior Supt. Cesar Mancao II (Lacson’s former aide) and Glenn Dumlao, former PAOC-TF Deputy Chief of Operations to the case. But even before the narrowing of suspects came at a conclusion said PNP officials unexplainably left the country and at present continues to battle-out their extradition trials in the US. Public speculated before that the two’s escape along with Michael Rey Aquino is in lieu of fighting the odds for the trade of their lives. Erap and Ping were two formidable bosses who would eventually want to “rule-out” just about everything and anyone that could bag them with the case especially when the stakes for the 2010 elections are at stake to both Erap and Ping.
Come to think of it, why should PAOC-TF Opns Chief PNP aide give a damn over Erap’s publicist? It is not like Bubby has anything to do with the then low-profile police officials. In fact his death would not mean anything to either Dumlao or Mancao. By any chance, the two together with PAOC-TF Visayas Head –Teofilo Viña were not once caught up between charges of authority abuses before and during Dacer’s slay. Other than a legitimate order coming from Lacson and Erap, there is no other viable motive that could instigate these PNP officers’s hand on the crime.
People, are not dumb enough to believe that the up-tight Lacson could have overlooked his men in the PAOC-TF’s extra-curricular activities. The elected-solon was too good for that, he is not some shit-head in said task force. Besides, his explosive exploits and discoveries in the Senate floor could substantiate his one fine man in sniffing-out “crooks”. But hell, if Lacson claims he knew nothing, fine it is settled then. Innocence is not to be proven by public speeches it is dealt and substantiated with in courts. The fine senator should know better other than trying to craft another public mockery over the said crime.
Ping was overreacting over his implications on the still eye-locked Mancao affidavit containing 21-names of suspects under the Dacer-Corbito slay with his press statements going here and there. Point accentuated with his own demons. Lacson seemed pretty sure his on the list. Why? Was it because he knew then and there that he should be included there in the first place? Is it not outright self-incrimination plain and simple? He simply can’t keep his mount shut and it is obviously the one thing that kept the masses speculating over his guiltiness to the Dacer-Corbito case.

Was Lacson Behind the 8 Year Dacer- Corbito Murder?
The DACER-CORBITOdouble murder case was one of the sensational cases due to the alleged involvements of several top officials of the Philippine National Police and known political figures including former Pres Fidel RAMOS and Joseph ESTRADA. Insinuations were then spreading that DACER’s killing was stemmed from his alleged utilization by then Pres Fidel RAMOS to destabilize former Pres Joseph ESTRADA whose administration was then taunted with corruption. At the time of his death, DACER was working with former PNP Chief Roberto LASTIMOSO, a known enemy of LACSON.
Despite the suspects’ denials, the family of DACER remains firm in claiming that LACSON was the brain in the killing of their kin because DACER at the time of the murder had evidences for the crimes against LACSON. Of course, the family will not speak unless they have evidences to support their claims. But, giving the benefit of the doubt, why were AQUINO, MANCAO, and DUMLAO left the country and abscond to the US if they had no hand in the killings? Under the Rules of Evidence “flight is evidence of guilt”. So, their flight to the US indicates that they were indeed guilty of the horrible killings.
But, the implications and the impending trial of AQUINO, MANCAO, and DUMLAO will not end the story because the trio seems to have no personal motive in killing DACER and CORBITO. Possibly, they were induced by somebody who was superior from them and that was no other than Sen Ping LACSON, the then Chief of the famous anti-crime body, the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Task Force (PAOCTF). Suspicion could have then that LACSON ordered the killing of DACER to prevent him from exposing LACSON’s crimes in the public because politics at that time might have already at the mind of LACSON.
Yet, LACSON could have been right in silencing DACER because otherwise he is not at the Senate right now. The Senate seems to be not enough for LACSON as he has now started using the institution for his ambition for a higher and even to the highest political position in the country – the presidency. Since LACSON is aspiring to become the next president.

Ping Admitted the Murder!
Old folks would often advise the young of the rotten pain in getting a dose of our self-made medicine. And maybe that’s what Ping is trying to steer clear of.
The Senator-elect could not be a sitting duck while the graft riddle charade is taking its toll in the government’s backyard, can he? If so, he would certainly add among the ratio of unrestrained dm-wits that participated on an unleashed free-fall.
That is, with the public utterly knowing the much-talked-about Senator’s association with Jose Velarde, bearing in mind that the court ruled on Pidal and ERAP being one and the same.
Who then are Dacer and Corbito?
The murder wraps of publicist Salvador “Bubby” Dacer and Dacer’s driver Emmanuel Corbito had been one of the longest running traumatic criminal investigation in Juan dela Cruz’s soil. Traumatic to the point that suspects behind said slay have gone through openly washing their hands clean while others fled and blatantly evaded the courts.
People believe that the inevitable drag and delays was due to the fact that the then pardoned former president Joseph Estrada, supposed mastermind of the grand buchery; have wittingly wield the tides in his advantage.
In a flashback, former police Senior Superintendent Glenn Dumlao was a subordinate of then PNP Chief Lacson. They were both regarde on tight-ties with ERAP which cause the press to clutter on their supposed “hand” on the former president’s dirty works, to include strings of violent cover-ups such as Dacer’s.
The publicist along with Corbito were found dead November 24th of 2000 after having been reported abducted in Makati. In few notes, the investigations led to the contention that the victim was supposedly working with Fidel Ramos to unseat ERAP. Of which, the Ramos’ originating destab plot got Dacer on heated ties with ERAP’s
Wingman-Ping. According to Amparo (Dacer’s daughter), his father (Bubby) had evidences of crimes committed by the Senator-elect.
This ballooning threat posed by Dacer to Lacson’s career and the executive seat of ERAP allegedly led to the bloody trail. Unfortunately, since Lacson and ERAP have tied-down power and niche of support, those “under” themwould have to deal with the trash and stinging consequences. That is, making Dulao, Aquino, and Mancao the country’s “top brass” sacrificial lambs.
Same Old Denial Tunes
Ping strongly denying his involvement or knowledge of his subordinates’ activities to include those with Dumlao and his men on Dacer is clearly one of the elected Senator’s natures. Won’t you agree? He had it once before during his implications on the Kuratong-Baleleng Rub-out and his just as good refuting the above.
It was rather unlikely of him who was known for his strict and authoritative rule in the PNP before to have his “men” rattling and orchestrating rub-outs and liquidations here and there without him knowing, right?
He surely has the “sniffs” for anomaly and wrongdoing but how could have he overlooked such crimes? Which is true then of Lacson? A self-confess fool who knows nothing of what’s going on? Or let’s say a damn good liar who sure can weave sand?

The Ping
PING LACSON, Malakas at matibay ang loob. Wala siyang kinakatakutan. Walang inuurungan.
. . Abangan ang susunod na kabanata!
